This strategic addition reflects First Due’s commitment to delivering EMS solutions informed by deep clinical expertise and grounded in operational realities.

Dr. Stevens brings over two decades of experience in Emergency Medical Services and Emergency Medicine. Dual board-certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM), he is nationally recognized for advancing out-of-hospital care and clinical excellence in EMS systems.

“Appointing Dr. Stevens marks a major milestone in our mission to support EMS professionals with technology that reflects the complexity of their work,” said Toby Ritt, Vice President of EMS. “His expertise will help ensure our platform continues to meet the highest standards of medical integrity and operational effectiveness.”

Currently Managing Partner of FIREMD, Dr. Stevens has held leadership roles including VP and Chief at Allina Health EMS, Deputy Medical Director for Indianapolis Fire, EMS, and Police, and medical lead for the IndyCar Racing Series. He is also Adjunct Professor at Hennepin Health Services, Chair of the Minnesota Office of EMS Physicians Committee, advisor to the MN EMS Medical Directors Association, and an active member of ACEP and NAEMSP.
